HILTON HEAD, South Carolina – The UNCW women's tennis team bounced back from a loss earlier in the day against Stetson to roll past Albany State late Friday and earn a split of a pair of matches at the Van der Meer Tennis Center.

The Seahawks, who have played eight of their first nine matches away from home, stand 4-5 on the season.

The Hatters of the Atlantic Sun Conference claimed the doubles point in the day's early test and took three of the first four singles matches off the court to knock off the Seahawks.

UNCW rebounded in the nightcap, however, surrendering just 17 games in the nine matches against NCAA Division II Albany State for their second shutout of the campaign.

The Seahawks return to North Carolina for only their second home match of the season on Thursday, Mar. 18, when Colonial Athletic Association rival Elon visits for a 2 p.m. match at the UNCW courts.
