Rasamatov Reaches R16 At ITA Carolina Regional

DURHAM, North Carolina – UNCW men's tennis sophomore Bekhzod Rasamatov continued his hot streak at the ITA Carolina Regional on Saturday, defeating Campbell's Benjamin Maes in straight sets to reach the Round of 16 in the main singles draw.

Rasamatov, co-Rookie of the Year in the Colonial Athletic Association one year ago, won his third singles match of the tournament. He will face South Carolina's Jake Beasley at 9 a.m. Sunday at Duke's Ambler Tennis Stadium.

In other action involving UNCW players, the Seahawks won three of four consolation matches in singles and placed Reece Falck and Trey Mallory into the Round of 16 in the double consolation bracket.
