WINSTON-SALEM, North Carolina - Junior Brinley Bell won a pair of matches in the B1 Main Draw of the Carolina ITA Regional in Winston-Salem as the UNCW women's tennis team competed in two tournaments on Friday.

In Winston-Salem, N.C., eight Seahawks competed in the ITA Carolina Regional at the Wake Forest Tennis Center. The tournament features more than 20 teams, including UNCW, Appalachian State, Duke, North Carolina and South Carolina.

Bell, from High Point, N.C., was victorious in two three-set matches to stay alive in the B1 Main Draw. She outlasted Davidson's Franny Shea, 6-2, 4-6, 6-2, and then edged Woffords Georgia Fischer, 6-1, 2-6, 7-5.

In Durham, N.C., the Seahawks wrapped up action in the NCCU Invitational when freshman Stela Joksimovic fell to Campbell's Ranaivo Mialy, 6-3, 6-2.
