SDN Kicks Off Fall Schedule On Thursday

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The Seahawk Digital Network (SDN), UNCW's free video streaming platform for athletics, embarks on its sixth season this week with the first of 28 live fall sporting events for the 2019-20 season.

Fans are invited to join commentators Joe Catenacci and Jim Whitmeyer on Thursday, August 29, at 7 p.m. for the first SDN broadcast of the year as the unbeaten women's soccer team plays host to regional rival Coastal Carolina at the UNCW Soccer Stadium.

The match will be one of six women's soccer games on SDN this fall. In addition, men's soccer will also feature eight games on the network, along with 12 volleyball matches streamed from inside Hanover Hall. Two swim meets will be streamed from the Seahawk Natatorium.

After four games in August, SDN soars into the heart of the season with eight games in September, followed by 13 additional events in October. SDN concludes its fall season with three games in November.

SDN will also be the home of exclusive features as well as interviews with players and coaches.

Streaming is free and available on any internet-connected device such as a laptop, tablet, or smartphone. All SDN streams are supplemented by live stats on UNCWStats.com.

All broadcasts are shown in high definition video/audio and streamed through Presto Sports via Stretch Live. Access to the streams can be found on UNCWsports.com/coverage or the website's homepage.

In addition to Whitmeyer and Catenacci, other on-air SDN talent includes Tanner Barth, Tom Lamont and Aaron Martin. Jeremy Sullivan returns for his third season as the lead producer of SDN events.

Additional games will be broadcast on FloSports, the official digital partner of the CAA beginning this year. Subscriptions to FloSports are $12.50 per month or $95.88 per year ($7.99 per month) and provides access to all content around the CAA.
