Seahawk Digital Network Begins New Season

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW's Seahawk Digital Network kicks off the 2016-17 season on Thursday with coverage of the women's soccer team's exhibition game vs. High Point at the Seahawk Soccer Stadium.
 
The Seahawks and Panthers collide at 7 p.m., marking the first of 35 live events scheduled to be aired on SDN during the fall season. Monday's men's soccer exhibition vs. Gardner-Webb is next on the docket.
 
Overall, video of women's soccer, men's soccer, volleyball and swimming and diving contests is planned for the upcoming fall campaign.
 
The cornerstone of SDN is the department's website, UNCWsports.com. Through an innovative partnership with video streaming giant Stretch Internet, fans will benefit from free coverage and up-to-date coverage of the Seahawk teams.
    
UNCW's web hosting partnership with SIDEARM focuses on an adaptive mobile model available by simply visiting UNCWsports.com using a browser on your mobile device. Everything a fan can find on UNCWSports.com by using a desktop computer is also be available using a mobile phone or tablet.
 
Watching video on UNCWsports.com is easy. By simply clicking on the Live Events button in the upper right corner, fans can watch all Seahawk streamed events for FREE. The landing page or portal also has links to free video streaming of all conference events via the CAA.tv. Accessible from any internet-connected device, CAA.tv gives league fans access to nearly every live event conference-wide.
 
On the statistics side, UNCW will continue to distribute all live stats through StatBroadcast.com. The online application offers the most thorough, user-friendly presentation of stats in collegiate athletics and has a mobile viewer, UNCWstats.com, that will keep Seahawk and CAA fans updated with all the action.
