Green, Cefalo Victorious In Charlotte

CHARLOTTE, North Carolina – Colonial Athletic Association champions Courtney Cefalo and E.J. Green struck gold as the 2019 Charlotte Invitational wrapped up Saturday at Charlotte's Irwin Belk Track & Field Center.
 
Cefalo captured first place in the Women's Long Jump with a mark of 18-04.25 and Green raced to first place in the Men's 110 Hurdles in 14.40. In addition, senior Moe Holmes posted the best mark in the CAA this season with a leap of 23-09.00 in the Men's Long Jump.
 
"I was very pleased with the way we competed this weekend," said UNCW Head Coach Austin Davis. "We had multiple PR's and season bests across the board."
 
The Seahawks conclude the regular season next weekend by competing in the Duke Invitational in Durham, N.C.
