WILMINGTON, North Carolina – After winning three of its five games at the Lafayette Ford Lincoln of Fayetteville Seahawk Softball Invitational last weekend, UNCW resumes its season-long 10-game homestand on Tuesday afternoon by facing Canisius in a doubleheader at Boseman Field starting at 3 p.m.

UNCW enters Tuesday's contests with a 16-12 record after last weekend's tournament, which included a 7-2 victory over the Golden Griffins. The Seahawks also won a pair of 3-0 shutout decisions against Youngstown State during the weekend, elevating their home record to 9-6 this season.
Senior
Haley Lenderman earned Colonial Athletic Association Co-Pitcher of the Week notice on Monday after authoring a 2-1 record with an impressive 0.33 earned run average. The Rochester Hills, Mich., product earned both wins over Youngstown State and allowed just one earned run in 21.0 innings of work.
Canisius continues its season-opening 24-game road swing with Tuesday's doubleheader against the Seahawks. The Golden Griffins are 1-15 on the season, but earned their first win of the season last weekend with a 2-1 victory over Youngstown State in extra innings.
Sophomore Kara Paradowski paces the Golden Griffins offensively with a .426 average, including 20 hits and a team-high 10 runs scored. Sophomore Erin Hufford is contributing a .390 average while junior Brittany Sockwell has three home runs with 12 runs batted in.
