WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Coach Kristy Norton and the UNCW softball team completes its regular season tournament schedule this weekend by welcoming Canisius, Eastern Kentucky and Youngstown State for the Lafayette Ford Lincoln of Fayetteville Seahawk Softball Invitational at Boseman Field.

The three-day, 10-game tournament begins on Friday, Mar. 15, with a four-game slate beginning at 10 a.m. Another four-game slate takes place on Saturday, Mar. 16, before the tournament concludes with a twinbill starting at 10 a.m.

All of the Seahawks' games this weekend can be seen via the Seahawk Digital Network by visiting UNCWSports.com/SDN. In addition, live stats for all 10 games this weekend will be available at UNCWStats.com.

The Seahawks carry a 13-10 record into this weekend's tournament after winning four of five games at the Jacksonville/UNF Spring Break Challenge last week. UNCW earned wins over Cleveland State, North Florida, Georgetown and La Salle during the event.

Junior infielder Dominique Travers was named as the Colonial Athletic Association Player-of-the-Week after hitting .500 (8-for-16) with six runs scored and three home runs at last weekend's tournament. She also drove in five runs during the tournament, giving her 12 RBI this season.

Junior Rylee Pate and senior Haley Lenderman have combined to record 10 of the Seahawks' 13 victories in the circle. Pate boasts a 6-4 record with a 2.50 earned run average while Lenderman has a 4-3 mark with a 2.41 earned run average after going 3-0 last weekend.
Five Things to Know

  4. Travers is tied for third in the CAA with six home runs and has moved into a tie for sixth in school history with 13 career home runs.
  5. UNCW is 6-10 all-time against the teams in this weekend's tournament field.

Up Next: UNCW continues its 10-game homestand on Tuesday afternoon when the Seahawks welcome Canisius for a non-conference doubleheader starting at 3 p.m.
