Terriers Beat Seahawks In Tennis Opener

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Visiting Wofford won the early doubles point and added three singles victories to edge UNCW, 4-3, in the spring debut for the Seahawk women's tennis team early Saturday.
 
The Terriers swept all three doubles matches for the critical point and salvaged three singles victories for the narrow win. Celeste Matute, Sabrina Barisano and Maddy Muller-Hughes each posted victories in singles for the Seahawks.
 
Coach Hans Olsen's squad returns to action on Thursday, Jan. 31, when it travels to Orangeburg, S.C., to take on South Carolina State in a 2 p.m. match.
