TALLAHASSEE, Florida – UNCW concluded its regular season with a 5-0 setback to 11th-ranked Georgia State on Saturday at the Seminole Beach Battle, hosted by Florida State. The tournament finale with TCU was canceled due to inclement weather.

The Seahawks capped their season with a record of 12-12 while the Panthers improved to 20-8.

UNCW took the Panthers to three sets in two matches. The pairing of Katie McCullough and Brynn Montgomery made their second appearance in the second pairing this season and fell in three to GSU's Tiffany Creamer and Brook Weiner. McCullough and Montgomery forced a third set with a 21-16 win in the second set before bowing in a 15-9 third set.

Also going three sets was the pairing of Halle Hunt and JM Lewandowski. The duo also forced a third set with a win in the second, outlasting the Panthers 25-23. In the final set,
GSU earned the point with a 15-12 win.

Next up for the Seahawks is the Coastal Collegiate Sports Association championship tournament on April 20-22, in Cartersville, Ga. UNCW is in its second year of membership in the conference which includes seven teams in the AVCA top-20.
