SALEM, S.C. – UNCW closed out its tournament schedule with a sixth-place finish on Saturday at the Clemson Invitational at The Cliffs of Keowee Falls. It was the Seahawks final tune up for the Colonial Athletic Association championships next weekend in Raleigh.

Boston College edged host and 15th-ranked Clemson by two strokes for the team championship. Notre Dame, UConn and SMU rounded out the top-five followed by the Seahawks.

The BC duo of Christian Cavaliere and Matt Naumec finished in first and second, respectively, with Cavaliere winning medalist honors by four strokes.

Pat Cover was UNCW's top finisher, placing 15th, and was joined in the top 20 by Blake McShea, who was tied for 19th.

Christofer Rahm finished just outside the top-20, finishing tied for 22nd.

UNCW next competes in the CAA Championships in Raleigh, beginning on Apr. 20, at the Lonnie Pool Course. Tee times and pairing will be announced early next week.
