WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Three seniors are set to make their final home appearance this weekend when the Seahawk men's and women's tennis teams conclude the regular season at the UNCW courts.

Xandra Fougner and Thai Thompson will suit up for the final time when Coach Hans Olsen's women entertain Colonial Athletic Association rivals Charleston on Saturday (April 14) and Sunday (April 15) in a pair of 10 a.m. matches. A special recognition ceremony will be held prior to Saturday's match to honor Fougner and Thompson.

Fougner, a native of Oslo, Norway, began her collegiate career at Mercer before transferring to UNCW for her junior and senior seasons. In two years in the Port City, she has compiled a 14-11 singles record and 7-12 doubles mark.

Thompson played locally at Cape Fear Academy and joined the team in 2014-15 after starting her career at Charleston. She has fashioned a 3-6 singles record and 4-5 doubles scorecard over the last three seasons for the Seahawks.

Andre Torres is the lone senior on the 15-4 men's team, which plays its regular season finale vs. South Carolina State on Saturday at 2 p.m. The Armenia, Colombia, product has gone 38-27 in singles matches and 21-14 in doubles in four years for the Seahawks.

Torres, who has played every spot in the lineup at UNCW, was named First-Team All-CAA in singles and Second-Team All-CAA in doubles last season.

Torres has played No. 1 in 18 matches for the Seahawks this season, posting an 8-10 record, with an 11-5 doubles ledger. He is tied for 17th all-time on the singles wins list for the Seahawks.
