Davidson Blanks Women's Tennis Team

DAVIDSON, North Carolina – Host Davidson captured the doubles point and swept all six singles matches to shut out UNCW, 7-0, in non-conference women's tennis action on Sunday at the Davidson Tennis Courts.
 
The Wildcats pushed their record to 4-2 on the season. The Seahawks fell to 0-6.
 
UNCW's lone win on the day came at No. 1 doubles when Maddy Muller-Hughes and Sabrina Barisano defeated Davidson's Megan Scholvinck and Samantha Armas. However, the Wildcats took the doubles point with wins at the No. 2 and No. 3 positions.
 
The Seahawks return to the courts on Friday, Feb. 23, with a 1 p.m. home match vs. East Carolina.
