East Tennessee State Downs UNCW In Men's Tennis

JOHNSON CITY, Tennessee – UNCW concluded its 2016-17 road schedule on Sunday with a 4-0 loss to East Tennessee State in non-conference men's tennis action at the Dave Mullins Tennis Complex.
 
The Buccaneers pushed their record to 11-7 with the non-conference victory. The Seahawks stand 10-7 heading into their final two matches of the regular season.
 
ETSU won the doubles point for the sixth consecutive match behind wins at the No. 1 and No. 2 positions for a quick 1-0 advantage.
 
The Bucs then reeled off singles wins on the first matches off the court, clinching the match at No. 5 singles when David Gonzalez defeated Leon Back, 6-2, 6-4.
 
The Seahawks return home for their final two home matches. UNCW entertains UNC Greensboro on Wednesday, April 12, at 11:45 a.m. in a match rescheduled from earlier this season.
