Baseball Preview: Campbell

 
WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The Seahawks close out their brief four-game tonight when they visit Campbell for a 6 p.m. start at Perry Stadium.

The game also opens a five-game week for the Seahawks, which continues Wednesday night at Brooks Feld against High Point. UNCW returns to conference play hosting Delaware over the weekend beginning on Friday.

Clay Lockamon (0-2) will make his third start of the season Tuesday for UNCW while Campbell has not named a starter.

The Seahawks won their CAA series at Hofstra last weekend, capping the series with a 20-7 thumping of the Pride. UNCW tied a school record with seven home runs, set a program record with six homers in the eighth inning, including a UNCW record four-straight round trippers.

Campbell stands at 18-22 on the season after dropping 2-of-3 to UNC Asheville. Senior Drew Butler leads the nation with 31 stolen bases while hitting .297 and scoring 39 runs.
