WILLIAMSBURG, Virginia – Junior
Lyberty Anderson continued to hold the top spot in the individual standings as UNCW climbed into second place at the Colonial Athletic Association Women's Golf Championship following the second round at the Ford's Colony Country Club on Saturday afternoon.
The Seahawks, who fired a 299 team score, moved to within two strokes of the team lead behind Delaware, which shot a 295 team score on Saturday to rise above UNCW and the College of Charleston.
Anderson shot an even-par 72 in the second round to take a three-stroke lead into the final round. She played one-under-par in the final nine holes, including a birdie on the 12th hole.
Sophomore
Ellinoora Moisio moved into third place after carding a two-over-par 74 in the second round while freshman
Thao My Nguyen follows in sixth place following a two-under-par 70.
Junior
Kayla Thompson is tied for 33rd place while junior
Alaina Yeatts holds 36th place to round out the Seahawks' efforts.
The final round of the CAA Championship tees off at 8 a.m.
