WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW softball team completes its quick five-game road swing this weekend by competing at the Eighth Annual Bulldog Invitational hosted by the University of Georgia.

UNCW Notes
The Seahawks, who are 7-2-1 on the season, will face Central Connecticut State twice in addition to contests against Michigan State and No. 16/17 Georgia.
UNCW is unbeaten in its last three contests after earning a 4-4 tie against North Carolina A&T on Wednesday afternoon. The game was halted with one out in the bottom of the seventh inning due to inclement weather.
Sophomore infielder
Anna Hessenthaler drove in a pair of runs in Wednesday's tie in addition to recording a pair of doubles. Senior
Nella Chamblee also drove in a run with a single in the fifth inning.

- UNCW recorded its first tie on Wednesday since Mar. 5, 2008, a 5-5 result at North Carolina A&T.
- Senior pitcher Peyton Jordan made the 100th career appearance in Wednesday's game, becoming the seventh hurler in program history to reach that mark.

Central Connecticut State – The Blue Devils, who were picked to finish fourth in the Northeast Conference Preseason Coaches' Poll, welcome back three starters, including junior
Brittany Camara, who drove in 18 runs last year with a .401 slugging percentage.
Georgia – Senior outfielder
Sydni Emanuel leads the No. 16/17 Bulldogs into this weekend's action. A starter in all 17 games, the Missouri City, Texas, product has tallied 29 hits and is tied for the team lead with 16 runs scored. She has also stolen 10-of-11 bases.
Michigan State – The Spartans, who are embarking on an 11-game Spring Break trip this weekend, are led by junior outfielder
Lea Foerster, who is tied for second in the Big Ten Conference with a .528 batting average. The reigning Big Ten Player-of-the-Week leads the conference with a 1.194 slugging percentage and eight doubles.
