WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW women's basketball team closes out its weekend homestand on Sunday afternoon as the Seahawks welcome Hofstra to Trask Coliseum for a Colonial Athletic Association contest at noon.

The Seahawks, who are 9-16 overall and 4-10 in the CAA, have dropped four of their last five games after a 70-59 setback against three-time defending league champion James Madison on Friday night. Redshirt senior guard
Jasmine Steele paced the Seahawks with a season-high 19 points after making 8-of-16 field goal attempts. She also added five assists and matched a career high with four steals.
Junior guard
Madison Raque leads the Seahawks offensively by averaging 11.0 points per game while Steele is contributing 9.0 points per contest and has a team-high 98 assists.
After opening the season with a 7-3 record, the Pride has dropped 12 of its last 15 games and brings a 10-15 overall record with a 3-11 mark in CAA play into Sunday's contest. Hofstra has been idle since dropping a 72-61 verdict against Elon on Thursday night.
The Pride is led by junior forward
Ashunae Durant, who is the lone player in the CAA averaging a double-double this season. She ranks among the CAA leaders by scoring 16.4 points per game while grabbing 11.2 rebounds per contest after a 14-point, 8-rebound performance at Elon.
Senior guard
Krystal Luciano is adding 11.0 points per game for the Pride and leads the CAA with 152 assists in 25 games, a 6.1 average.
UNCW and Hofstra will be meeting for the 32nd time in a series the Pride leads by a 17-14 margin. The Seahawks ended a two-game losing streak to Hofstra on Jan. 20 with a 56-54 overtime victory.
After Sunday's matinee, the Seahawks will play two of their final three regular season games on the road, including a contest at William & Mary on Friday night at 7 p.m.
