Cox Named CAA Player of the Week

Graduate student scored 20, pulled down eight rebounds and recorded nine steals

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW's Rori Cox was honored by the Coastal Athletic Association on Monday as Co-Player of the Week following a near triple-double performance in a win over Queens.

Cox, who leads the Seahawks in scoring at 15.3 points per game, poured in 20 points, grabbed eight rebounds and recorded nine steals. To round out her tremendous performance, she added season-high five assists.

Her nine swipes were the most by a Seahawk since Jessica Freeman's nine against Delaware in 2013.

Cox shared the honor with the College of Charleston's Taryn Barbot.

The Seahawks open a four-game road swing on Wednesday at West Georgia.
