Cover Takes Opening Round Lead At Duck Commander

EL DORADO, Arkansas – Senior Pat Cover grabbed the lead after one round of play after fashioning a two-under-par 70 on Sunday at the Duck Commander Intercollegiate at the Mystic Creek Golf Club.

Round One Results

Host Louisiana Monroe leads the field after carding a 14-over-par 302 in tough scoring conditions. The Seahawks were able to stay five strokes off the pace and are in fourth.

Cover moved into the lead when he eagled the par-five 18th hole. He finished the round with three birdies and three bogeys.

ULM's Hogan Arey and Eastern Kentucky's Erik Lindwall are tied for second at even-par.

The Seahawks are paired with Louisiana Tech and Central Arkansas on Monday in the second round and will tee off at 8:30 a.m. CST.
