Swimming & Diving Preview: Old Dominion

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW swimming and diving programs look to build off a strong opening weekend when they host Old Dominion on Saturday at 11 a.m.

The meet will be streamed on the Seahawk Digital Network.

The Seahawks fell in both meets to visiting Tennessee last weekend, but saw many strong outings up and down the roster.

Freshman Even Arsenault made an immediate impact, winning the women's 50 and 100 Free while also swimming on the 200 Medley and 400 Free Relays.

Arsenault named CAA Swimmer-of-the-Week

Also on the women's side, newcomer Faith Pilcher placed second in both the 50 and 100 Free sprints.

Ben Whitty, a sophomore, earned wins in the 100 Breaststroke and the 200 IM.

The Seahawks visit Catawba on Oct. 20, when they return to action. The next home meet will be Nov. 4-5 when the Seahawk Natatorium hosts a Colonial Athletic Association Pod Meet.
