The Starting Nine: Things to Know For Tuesday
1. UNCW has held opponents to two runs or less in each of the last eight games after limiting No. 9 James Madison to a total of five runs in last weekend's three-game series.

2. The Seahawks split their only two road games of the season in a doubleheader at Winthrop on Mar. 9.

3. Junior Peyton Jordan has allowed just two runs in her last 30.0 innings while lowering her earned run average to 1.93. During that stretch, she has posted 15 strikeouts with just five walks.

4. Junior outfielder Claudia Spinelli became the fifth different UNCW player to hit a home run this season when she blasted a solo shot in the second game of last Friday's doubleheader against James Madison. It was the fourth home run of her career.

5. The UNCW defense has been solid over the last seven games, committing just one error during that span. The Seahawks rank second in the Colonial Athletic Association with a .972 fielding percentage.

6. The Seahawks' pitching staff has held opponents to a .234 batting average, which ranks second in the CAA. In addition, UNCW ranks second in the circuit with a 2.02 earned run average while pitching a league-high 229.0 innings.

7. The Seahawks will play 13 of their final 22 regular season games on the road, including nine Colonial Athletic Association contests.

8. Campbell enters Tuesday's doubleheader with a 14-16 record after winning two of three games against Gardner-Webb last weekend. The Camels have won three of their last four outings.

9. Junior pitcher/first baseman Amber Schisler paces the Camels with 11 home runs and 33 runs batted in. She has also posted a .421 batting average after a 5-for-9 effort with three doubles in last weekend's series against Gardner-Webb.
