WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW softball team continues its 11-game homestand this week with a slate of five non-conference games against Bryant and Columbia at Boseman Field. Â
This Week's Schedule: Wednesday, Mar. 16 – UNCW vs. Bryant, 4 p.m. (DH)
Thursday, Mar. 17 – UNCW vs. Columbia, 6 p.m.
Friday, Mar. 18 – UNCW vs. Columbia, 4 p.m. (DH)
Tickets: Tickets for each day's games can be purchased on the day of the game at Boseman Field and cost seven dollars ($7) for adults and two dollars ($2) for children (ages 3-15).
Promotions: Wednesday's doubleheader against Bryant is the Seahawks' Faculty Appreciation Day. UNCW faculty and staff cane receive free admission for themselves and immediate family with the presentation of a valid OneCard (limit 4 tickets per OneCard).
In addition, Friday's doubleheader against Columbia will be "Strike Out Cancer" day sponsored by Pink Trash. Any fans wearing pink can receive admission to the doubleheader for just two dollars. In addition, a pink jersey auction will be held with the proceeds benefitting the Pretty in Pink Foundation.

The Starting Nine: Things to Know For This Weekend1. UNCW matched a season high by scoring 10 runs in its victory over Presbyterian on Sunday afternoon. The Seahawks also had 10 runs against Rhode Island on Feb. 20 and N.C. Central on Feb. 28.
2. Speed continues to be one of the Seahawks' strengths this year with 38 stolen bases in 44 attempts. In last weekend's games against Presbyterian and UNCG, the Seahawks were 8-for-9 in stolen base attempts and matched a season high with five successful tries against Presbyterian.
3. Freshman infielder
Hannah Adamczyk has hit safely in 17 of 23 games this season following her 2-for-4 performance against Presbyterian on Sunday. The Seahawks' second-leading hitter with a .348 average, she is also tied for the team lead with seven multi-hit efforts.
4. The Seahawks rank second in the CAA with a 2.35 team earned run average. They have also pitched a league-high 164.0 innings this year and rank second in the league with 120 strikeouts.
5. Sophomore pitcher
Sarah Davis is tied for fourth in the CAA with 58 strikeouts in 55.0 innings. She has recorded eight or more strikeouts four times this year, including a season-high nine strikeouts against Bucknell on Feb. 26.
6. Bryant, which completes a seven-game visit to North Carolina with Wednesday's doubleheader, is aiming for its first win of the season this week. The Bulldogs, who visit UNCG on Tuesday, bring a 0-12 record into this week after being swept in a three-game series at Campbell last weekend.
7. Junior
Taylor Burger and senior
Elle Madsen are tied for the Bryant team lead with a .294 batting average and 10 hits. Burger also has a home run and seven runs batted in while Madsen paces the Bulldogs with six runs scored.
8. Entering the week with a 3-10 mark, Columbia begins its schedule this week with a visit to Charleston Southern on Tuesday and a trip to Coastal Carolina on Wednesday. The Lions' three-game series against UNCW completes an 18-game road trip to open the year.
9. Sophomore second baseman
Taylor Troutt is off to an outstanding start for the Lions, boasting a .469 batting average with three home runs and nine runs batted in. She also leads Columbia with 15 hits and is second on the squad with eight runs scored.
