CHARLESTON, South Carolina – The streak is over, but there's still plenty at stake on Saturday when the UNCW men's basketball team treks down the coast to visit the College of Charleston for the 2015-15 road finale at TD Arena.

The Seahawks had their 11-game winning streak go by the wayside with Thursday's 87-69 loss at William & Mary when the Tribe caught fire in the final 10 minutes at Kaplan Arena. The loss chopped UNCW's lead in the Colonial Athletic Association standings to one game over second place Hofstra with three games remaining in the regular campaign.

UNCW, 20-6 overall, sits atop the CAA standings with a 12-3 record. The Pride stand second at 11-4 followed by William & Mary at 10-5 and James Madison and Towson at 9-5 in the circuit. The Seahawks and Cougars hook up at 6 p.m. at TD Arena.

On Thursday, William & Mary scored 23 unanswered points to erase a 12-point second-half deficit and finished the game with a 38-8 run en route to an 87-69 verdict in Williamsburg. The Tribe shot 52 percent and connected on 7-of-14 three-pointers after intermission to turn back the Seahawks.

The College of Charleston, meanwhile, also suffered a tough road loss when Marvin King-Davis had a double-double of 15 points and 10 rebounds and Delaware edged the Cougars, 62-59, at the Bob Carpenter Center in Newark, Dela. The Blue Hens led wire-to-wire and dropped in five free throws in the final 33 seconds to seal the deal for their second win in the last three outings.

The series between UNCW and CofC is developing into one of the CAA's best rivalries. Charleston leads the series, 10-9, but UNCW has won five in a row and six of the last eight games between the two teams. The regional foes met for the first time on Jan. 29, 1990, and the rivalry heated up on Jan. 22, 2014, when the Cougars claimed a 75-70 win in Charleston's debut in the conference.

UNCW has won five straight over CofC, including two in overtime, after the Cougars won six of the previous seven meetings. Seven clashes in the 19-game series have been decided by five points or less. UNCW stands 5-1 against CofC since the Cougars joined the CAA in 2014-15.

UNCW owns a 2-6 record vs. the Cougars in Charleston through the years, including a split of two contests at TD Arena.

In the last game between the two teams, junior guard Chris Flemmings knocked down 25 points and UNCW scored 30 points off turnovers to down Charleston, 66-55, on Jan. 30, 2016, before a sellout crowd in the annual Homecoming game at Trask Coliseum. The Seahawks built a nine-point halftime lead behind 16 points from Flemmings and led by as many as 16 points in the contest. Denzel Ingram had 13 points and C.J. Bryce collected 10 more. Marquise Pointer paced CofC with 17 points on the night.

The two teams battled in a wild one last season at TD Arena. UNCW overcame 25.8 percent shooting by coming up with 10 steals and forcing 20 turnovers in a 58-56 overtime victory on Jan. 21, 2015. The two teams played into overtime for the second straight game and UNCW made 22-of-31 free throws to rally after trailing, 27-20, at intermission. Senior guard Addison Spruill recorded his third career double-double with 11 points and a career-high 13 rebounds.       .

UNCW is facing CofC second-year coach Earl Grant for the fifth time and owns a 4-0 mark against the Cougar skipper. Grant previously worked for Clemson Head Coach Brad Brownell, who led the Seahawks to a pair of NCAA berths in four seasons from 2002-06.

The Seahawks have been one of the CAA's best road teams since Kevin Keatts arrived last season. UNCW went 5-4 in league road games one year ago and Keatts has the team sitting at 6-2 in conference road outings this time around, losing at Towson on Jan. 7 and William & Mary on Thursday. UNCW is a combined 11-6 in 17 CAA roadies since Keatts' arrival.

Seven Seahawk players - Marcus Bryan, C.J. Bryce, Devontae Cacok, Chris Flemmings, Trey Grundy, Denzel Ingram and Mark Matthews - are making their debut at TD Arena.

Following Saturday's clash with the Cougars, the Seahawks return to Wilmington to close out the regular season at Trask Coliseum on Thursday, Feb. 25, vs. Hofstra and Saturday, Feb. 27, vs. Towson.
