WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Former UNCW men's soccer standout
Austin MacPhee continues to build an impressive coaching resume after being named as an assistant coach for Hearts in Scotland. Located in Edinburgh, Hearts has a storied history and is considered the third largest club in Scotland.
MacPhee, who is also serving as an assistant coach for Northern Ireland, previously coached with Cowdenbeath and St. Mirren. He will work alongside head coach
Ian Cathro with Hearts. Cathro was formerly an assistant coach at Newcastle United, Valencia (Spain) and Ria Ave (Portugal).
A three-year starter at midfield, MacPhee graduated from UNCW in 2002 with a degree in Psychology.
