Shaw Moves Into Second On UNCW 200 Meters All-Time List

GREENVILLE, North Carolina – Cameron Shaw fashioned the second fastest 200 meters time in UNCW history to lead the Seahawks on Saturday at the Bill Carson Invitational at the Bate Track Facility.

The Seahawks placed fifth in the men's meet while the women were sixth. South Carolina won both meets and host East Carolina placed second on both sides.

Shaw, who entered the weekend with the 22nd fastest 200 meters time in the East Region, clocked in with a third-place time of 21.09 seconds, ranking him second on UNCW's all-time list behind record holder John Carr (21.03).

Shaw also finished second in the 100 meters with as time of 10.53.

Cody Love took second in the 400 Hurdles with a time of 52.15.

In the women's 400 meters, Alyssa Omile finished sixth and her time of 56.85 was the eighth fastest time in the program's history.

Ashley Wybersky also worked her way into UNCW's record book with a time of 4:40.33, which was a season best and sixth all-time at UNCW.

Margeret Edwards posted a season-best mark of 5-7 feet to finish third in the High Jump.

UNCW's women's 4x400 relay took second-place honors (3:54.10) and the men's team recorded a season-best of 3:15.09.

Next up for the Seahawks is the Charlotte Invitational on April 16-17.
