Seahawks Finish CAA Play Against Charleston

Live VideoLive Stats
WILMINGTON, North Carolina – While the UNCW men's soccer team has clinched a ticket to the six-team Colonial Athletic Association Tournament field, the Seahawks will be looking to improve their seeding when they host College of Charleston at UNCW Soccer Stadium on Wednesday night.

The game between the Seahawks and the Cougars, which was postponed on Sept. 30 due to weather, will kick off at 7 p.m. Live stats for the game will be available by visiting UNCWStats.com and a live video broadcast can be seen via the Seahawk Digital Network.

UNCW, which enters Wednesday's game with an 8-4-3 overall record and a 3-2-2 mark in the CAA, is coming off a 1-1 double overtime draw against Delaware on Sunday afternoon. Senior forward Nathaniel Goodwin scored the equalizer in the 64th minute for his fourth goal of the season.

Meanwhile, College of Charleston has posted just one win in its last five games after dropping a 2-1 decision at Northeastern on Saturday night. The Cougars, who are 6-6-2 overall and 3-2-1 in league play, are in the middle of a three-game road trip to end the regular season.

Both teams have secured their place in the CAA Tournament, but Wednesday's game will be important to the team's seeding possibilities. UNCW, Delaware and Charleston are all separated by one point in the league standings heading into Wednesday's games.

UNCW leads the all-time series by a 7-4-1 margin and has won three straight games in the series after last year's 2-0 victory at UNCW Soccer Stadium. Five of the Seahawks' seven wins in the series have come on their home field.

Tickets for Wednesday's game can be purchased by calling 800-808-UNCW or by visiting the Tickets page at UNCWSports.com. Fans can also purchase tickets on Wednesday night at the gate beginning one hour prior to kick-off.
