Dell Lands All-America Honors For Second Time

VanCompernolle listed among top 75 players in nation

UNCW's VanCompernolle named top-100 player by Top Drawer Soccer

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Senior midfielder Jamie Dell was named second-team All-America by College Soccer News and senior defender Jacob VanCompernolle was listed amongst the top-100 players in the nation by Top Drawer Soccer.

For Dell, it was his second All-America honor after being named third-team NSCAA All-America earlier this month. Dell, a first-team All-CAA selection, led the Seahawks with 22 points on a career-high 10 goals, including six game-winners which ranked third in the nation.

"Being named to a second All American team is another tremendous honor for Jamie. Essentially he is being considered one of the top 22-33 players in the country this season, which is quite an achievement," said UNCW Head Coach Aidan Heaney.

VanCompernolle, who was the CAA's Defensive Player-of-the-Year and a first-team All-CAA honoree, was ranked 73rd nationally by Top Drawer Soccer. The defender from Dallas, Texas, bolstered a Seahawk defense that posted a 0.90 goals against average and limited opponents to 3.25 shots on goal per game.

"I feel Jacob is a top defender, and his ranking in the top 75 players by Top Drawer Soccer confirms that the neutrals also share that belief.  He was such an influential player for us, as was Jamie.

"These honors are also recognition of our entire team's effort and strong performances."
