WILMINGTON, North Carolina - Senior Daniel Roberts has been named to the Colonial Athletic Association's preseason all-conference team by a vote of the league's coaches. UNCW, which was picked to finish fifth, also placed senior goalkeeper Brandon Miller on the Honorable Mention team.

Roberts, who played in just three games in 2010 after suffering a leg injury, enters the season looking to guide the Seahawks back to the NCAA Tournament UNCW captured its first CAA tournament title in 2009 and advanced to the second round of the NCAA Tournament.

Miller, meanwhile, begins this season as the starter for the first time in his career. As a junior, Miller appeared in five games and posted a career-low 0.55 goals against average. He set a career-high in saves with 12 stops in a scoreless draw at Northeastern.

The Seahawks knocked off North Florida, 3-0, last Saturday in an exhibition and visits third-ranked North Carolina on Saturday (Aug. 27) for a 7 p.m. season-opening start at Fetzer Field.
