Kron Lands on National Team of the Week

WILMINGTON, N.C. – UNCW goalkeeper Alex Kron has earned recognition on TopDrawerSoccer.com's National Team of the Week, as announced by the national organization on Tuesday.

Kron, who was named the Coastal Athletic Association Defensive Player of the Week on Monday, totaled a career-high eight saves against Furman as the Seahawks played the Paladins to a scoreless draw over the weekend.

The Northern Kentucky transfer has recorded 10 saves in 2026 across two clean sheets. UNCW has not conceded a goal in its first three matches of the season for the first time since 2018.

The Seahawks open league play on Saturday vs. Elon at 7 p.m.
