Gyamfi, Siikala Earn CAA Weekly Honors

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW's Osei Gyamfi and Lucas Siikala have garnered Coastal Athletic Association men's soccer weekly honors following the Seahawks' 5-0 rout of William & Mary on Saturday.

Gyamfi earned CAA Co-Offensive Player of the Week distinctions along with Hofstra's Laurie Goddard. Siikala was named the league's Rookie of the Week.

A native of Kumasi, Ghana, Gyamfi registered the second two-assist game of his career and first of 2025 before finishing the night with his first goal of the season as UNCW earned its first league win this year.

Siikala, meanwhile, scored the first goal of his college career to cap a three-goal first half for the Seahawks against the Tribe.

Gyamfi and Siikala were two of five goal scorers over the weekend, the first time UNCW had a scoring quintet since 2015.

UNCW returns to action on the road at nationally-ranked Wake Forest on Tuesday at 7 p.m.
