Miralrio Lifts Seahawks to 1-0 Victory

MACON, Ga. – Senior forward Bryan Miralrio's late goal lifted UNCW to a 1-0 road victory over Mercer in Thursday night men's soccer non-conference action at Betts Stadium.

The Seahawks upped their record to 2-0 in the young season while the Bears fell to 0-2-1.

Miralrio paced UNCW with five of their 20 shot attempts, none more impactful than the game-winning goal in the 79th minute to break the scoreless deadlock.

Forward Cameron Keay and midfielder Osei Gyamfi both registered four shots.

Senior goalkeeper Trey Smiley fashioned a clean sheet with three saves.

The game, originally set for 5 p.m., was delayed three hours due to rain and then withstood a 21-minute delay with nine minutes left due to sprinkler-related field conditions.

UNCW next hosts Furman, a 2025 College Cup participant, on Sunday at 4 p.m.
