CAA Tournament: Northeastern

MOUNT PLEASANT, S.C. – UNCW returns to the Coastal Athletic Association championship tournament winner's bracket final Friday at 7 p.m. when it faces top-seeded and nationally-ranked Northeastern at Patriots Point.

The Seahawks blanked third-seeded Campbell, 6-0, behind a 14-strikeout performance from Zane Taylor. The senior righthander scattered three hits and walked one in a career-long eight-inning outing.

Bryan Arendt homered and Kevin Jones collected two hits, including a RBI double late in the game.

UNCW and Northeastern did not play each other this season while the Huskies rolled to a regular season championship and a 25-2 record in league play.

The game will be streamed on FloCollege.com and can be heard locally in Wilmington on ESPN Wilmington radio.
