Women's Golf Tied for First Following Second Round

SOUTHPORT, North Carolina – The UNCW women's golf team has pulled within a tie of first place with Charleston following Saturday's second round of the 2025 CAA Championships at The Reserve Club at St. James.

The Seahawks and Cougars, who each have five CAA titles, both completed 36 holes with identical 592-team scores. Campbell sits third, seven strokes behind the leaders.

UNCW posted a field-best 293-team score in the second round to erase a two-stroke deficit between Charleston and Delaware after the opening 18 holes. The defending champion Blue Hens fell to fourth with a 305 second round score.

The Seahawks' Valencia Chang (75-72=147) shaved three strokes off her first round score to hold a share of fifth place, along with Hannah Altman, two strokes behind leader Ashley Lafontaine (72-73=145) of Elon.

The final round will be played on Sunday at 8 a.m. Check the Live Results page for tee times when available.
