Rooijmans Leads Seahawks in Arizona

LITCHFIELD PARK, Arizona – UNCW's Minouche Rooijmans finished in 18th place with a two-under-par 68 as the Seahawks' women's golf team wrapped up play at the Notre Dame Clover Cup at the Wigwam Resort – Blue on Wednesday.

The Seahawks posted a 296-294-299=889 scorecard to close out the three-day tournament in ninth place. Arizona State, the eighth-ranked team according to Clippd, claimed the tournament title.

Runner-up Clemson featured the individual medalist, Melan Barrientos, who topped the field with a six-under second-round score.

The Seahawks' Victoria Levy also posted a top-30 finish, highlighted by a one-over second round.

UNCW next turns its attention to its final tournament before the CAA Championships with the Clemson Tiger Invitational from Mar. 28-30.
