Seahawks Open Spring in Rio Grande

RIO GRANDE, Puerto Rico – UNCW's Victoria Levy authored a two-over par 74 score in both the second and third rounds to pace the Seahawk women's golf program in its spring opener at the Purdue Puerto Rico Classic from Feb. 2-4 at the Grand Reserve Golf Club.

Arkansas swept both the team title and individual medalist honors with the Razorbacks' Maria Jose Marin besting LSU's Rocio Tejedo by two strokes.

Levy's total scorecard (76-74-74=224) earned the redshirt junior a share of 59th place, for the Seahawks who finished 18th in the team field with a 305-302-304=911 54-hole score.

Sophomore Minouche Rooijmans shot a one-over par 73 in the third round, the lowest single-round score by a Seahawk in the three-round, three-day event.

UNCW next hosts the River Landing Classic from Mar. 3-4 at the River Landing Country Club in Wallace, N.C.
