WILMINGTON, N.C. – The UNCW women's tennis team closed out the fall season with victories against Campbell, North Carolina A&T, Seton Hall, and UNC Greensboro at the Seahawk Ocean Classic at UNCW Courts this weekend.

The Seahawks began the event by taking three out of four doubles matches against North Carolina A&T on Friday afternoon. UNCW immediately followed up its victory in doubles with a 6-2 win in singles play against UNC Greensboro. 

UNCW swept Campbell in doubles play early Saturday morning, claiming all four matches against the Camels.

Later in the morning, UNCW and Seton Hall each earned two wins in doubles, but the Seahawks came back in the afternoon and won four of six singles matches against the Pirates in singles play for a 6-4 victory.

On Sunday afternoon, UNCW faced off against Davidson in singles play. The Wildcats prevailed 4-3 after a tightly contested battle to close out the event.
