Landfall Tradition Tees Off on Friday

WILMINGTON, North Carolina -- Many of the nation's top women's collegiate teams will take the course at the Country Club of Landfall's neatly manicured Pete Dye layout, featuring new greens, this weekend for the 23rd annual Landfall Tradition.

The three-day event will tee off from Oct. 24-26 with early Friday and Saturday tee times at 8:30 a.m. Sunday's final round will feature an 8:45 a.m. shotgun start. The tournament will be contested on a Par-72, 6,106-yard rolling layout nestled along the Intracoastal Waterway near Wrightsville Beach.

Admission and parking are free and spectators should use the Eastwood Road entrance to Landfall. Live scoring will be available on Scoreboard by Clippd.

The Seahawk team will begin teeing off at 9:15 a.m. on Friday from Hole No. 1. Individuals (Jordan Salisbury - Hole No. 1, Annika Saidleman - Hole No. 10) will tee off at 10 a.m. UNCW tee times for Saturday and Sunday will be available on Clippd prior to the start of those rounds.

This year's field features six of the country's top 25 ranked teams (No. 5 Wake Forest, No. 14 Duke, No. 16 South Carolina, No. 18 Kent State, No. 20 UCF and No. 24 North Carolina) according to the latest Clippd rankings. All 18 participating schools are ranked in the Top 90 in the country.

The 18-team field is shored up by Alabama, Furman, Houston, Illinois, Indiana, Kentucky, Maryland, NC State, Notre Dame, Virginia Tech and SMU.

The Blue Devils are in search of their sixth Landfall Tradition title after winning the tournament in 2009, 2015, 2017, 2018 and 2023. Duke's five championships represent the most in the Tradition's over-two-decade history.

Other previous champions in this year's field include the Crimson Tide (2013), Demon Deacons (2007, 2008, 2014) and Gamecocks (2016, 2019). The Cougars and Golden Flashes will compete in the event for the first time.

This will be the fourth tournament the Seahawks have played in this year after making an appearance in the Furman Lady Paladin Invitational and the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational earlier this fall. UNCW opened its 2025-26 season with a third-place showing at the Golfweek Fall Challenge in early September.

UNCW (No. 86) is the second-highest Coastal Athletic Association team in the latest Clippd rankings behind the College of Charleston (No. 56).

The Seahawks are the lone school to compete in every Landfall Tradition since its inception in 2002.
