Snowden, Carrico Earn CAA Swimming Honors

WILMINGTON, N.C. – Cameron Snowden and William Carrico were tabbed swimmers of the week on Tuesday following a pair of impressive performances over the weekend in a sweep of Gardner-Webb.

Snowden delivered six gold medals, including two individual events. The senior won the 50 Free and 100 Fly with times of 23.14 and 53.44 seconds, respectively. Both of those times were the fastest for the CAA last week and the fastest this season.

Carrico totaled five medals, including four gold. Carrico won the 200 Back (1:45.84) and 200 IM (1:47.63) and placed third in the 200 Fly (1:48.50). The junior posted four personal-bests and his times in two individual events, 200 Free and 200 IM, were the fastest in the conference last week and for the season. Carrico also swam on the winning 200 Free, 800 Free and 400 IM Relays.
