Seahawks Set Records at NC State

RALEIGH, N.C. – Jack VanHowe and Cameron Snowden both set school and Coastal Athletic Association records in UNCW's dual meet finale on Friday at NC State.

The Wolfpack won both meets, winning 176-111 in the women's meet and taking a 161-114 decision in the men's.

VanHowe clocked in with an NCAA B cut and winning time of 46.30 seconds in the 100 Back while Snowden topped the field in the 100 Fly with her own NCAA B cut time of 52.06.

Gil Shaw added a win for the UNCW women in the 100 Backstroke (1:02.43) and Mason Hetzel claimed first-place honors in the 100 Breast (53.63).

In diving, UNCW's Ethan Badrian won the 3-meter board (328.88 points).

Other event winners included William Carrico (200 Breast).

The Seahawks return to the pool at the UNC Invitational on Feb. 6-8.
