The Seahawks went cold in the third quarter after overcoming a slow start to trail by seven at halftime. UNCW struggled to score during the third quarter, registering only 10 points on 16 shots. The Seahawks continued to fight hard in the fourth quarter and finished the game on a 9-1 run. The Camels outscored the Seahawks in the paint, 54-30.
Graduate transfers Jania Hall and Ali Zelaya paced the Seahawks with 15 points. Hall scored 15 off the bench, including 11 in the second half. Zelaya scored 12 of her 15 points in the first half and also finished with six rebounds. Hall now has 924 points for her career, needing just 76 for 1,000. Since moving back to the bench four games ago, the graduate transfer has scored in double figures over the last three games, shooting 45% from the field. Hall transferred to UNCW from Monmouth, where she was the league's sixth player of the year last season.
Kate Hollifield added 12 points with four three-pointers on six attempts, while Evan Miller finished with 11. Hollifield leads the team with 23 three-pointers on the season, while Miller has 21. Over her last three games, Hollifield is shooting 9-of-13 (69.2%) from beyond the arc.
Ali Zelaya leads the CAA and is 18th in the nation with 7.3 defensive rebounds per game. Zelaya also ranks 24th in the nation with 35 blocks and rounds out the top 25 with 2.06 blocks per game.

SCOUTING THE HAWKS
After starting the season 0-6, Monmouth has won eight of its last 10 games. The Hawks earned a signature road win, 59-55, against Charleston on Friday night. Damaris Rodriguez was the only player who scored in double figures for Monmouth. Rodriguez tallied a game-high 15 points, shooting 7-of-20 from the field. Taisha Exanor and Belle Kranbuhl nearly recorded double-doubles. Exanor had nine points and 10 rebounds, while Kranbuhl added eight points and a game-high 12 rebounds. Rodriguez is seventh in the CAA in scoring (14.6 PPG), while Exanor is second with 9.6 rebounds per game.

UNCW travels to Williamsburg, Va., on Friday to take on William & Mary at 7 p.m. A year ago, William & Mary won both regular-season matchups. UNCW aims to snap a five-game winless streak against The Tribe.
