Shaw Shines For UNCW At Nationally-Ranked Georgia

ATHENS, Ga. – Gil Shaw paced UNCW with two event wins as nationally-ranked Georgia swept visiting UNCW in the spring season opener for both programs on Saturday at the Bauerle Pool at Gabrielsen Natatorium.

The Bulldogs posted a 177-114 win in the women's meet and added a 224-71 victory on the men's side.

Shaw won the 100 Backstroke with a time of 1:02.09 and later added a win in the 200 Breaststroke when she touched the wall in a time of 2:14.47.

The Seahawks continue their spring schedule with a meet at NC State on Jan. 31.
