Women's Basketball Preview: Delaware

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW women's basketball team will host Delaware in its 2023-24 home finale at Trask Coliseum on Thursday at 7 p.m.

Delaware raced past UNCW, 73-35, when the two teams met in Newark on Feb. 23. The Blue Hens are making their first trip to Wilmington since Jan. 2022.

LAST TIME OUT
Redshirt freshman Taylor Henderson captured her second Coastal Athletic Association Rookie of the Week after averaging a double-double of 18.0 points and 10.0 rebounds over two games last weekend.

Henderson fashioned her second career double-double with 23 points and a career-high 11 rebounds on Sunday vs. Towson. It was the sixth 20-point performance of her career.

Henderson is the CAA's second-leading first-year scorer and seventh-highest overall at 14.5 ppg.

SCOUTING THE BLUE HENS
Delaware was on the wrong end of contests vs. Campbell and Elon, dropping both games by six combined points, including a one-point loss vs. the Fighting Camels.

The Blue Hens' boast the CAA's third-highest-scoring offense at 67.04 ppg.

LOOKING AHEAD
UNCW closes out its regular season at defending CAA champion Monmouth on Saturday at 3 p.m.
