Women's Basketball Adds Parpara for 2024-25

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – Head Coach Nicole Woods has announced the addition of guard Ofir Parpara to the UNCW women's basketball program for the 2024-25 season.

Parpara, a native of Kfar Saba, Israel, will join the Seahawks after competing in the Israel Premier League as well as the Israel National League. She also served two years in the Israeli military.

"For two years, Ofir served in the military and played basketball in the evenings," said Woods. "The level of maturity and experience she brings to the guard spot is desperately needed for our program. I am happy to bring her to the States and help her to live out her American Dream!"

Papara, an incoming freshman, averaged 7.2 points, 5.6 rebounds, 1.5 assists and 1.2 steals in the Israel National League.

The 5-9 wing played for Petach Tikva in the Premier League where she averaged 7.2 points and 5.2 rebounds last season.

Parpara attended Rabin High School and played under Coach Itamar Levi. She was also a member of the Israel U-16 Women's National Team as well as the Israel 3x3 National Team.
