Women's Basketball Preview: Drexel

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – The UNCW women's basketball team travels to Philadelphia to play Drexel in its penulutimate road contest of the 2023-24 regular season at the Daskalakis Athletic Center on Sunday at 1 p.m.

SERIES INFO
The Seahawks and Dragons are meeting for the second time this season. Both teams had three double-digit scorers, but the Dragons started hot with the first 10 points of the game and never trailed en route to the victory.

LAST TIME OUT
A strong start to the game by Delaware turned back UNCW, 73-35, on Friday night in Newark.

Freshman Kylah Silver (16 points) reached double figures for the fifth straight game and 13th time this season to lead the Seahawks. The Greenville, N.C., product also pulled down seven rebounds and blocked three shots.

SCOUTING THE DRAGONS
Drexel's Brooke Mullin's 18 points were a game-high when the teams last met on Jan. 14. Junior guard Amaris Baker added a double-double with 10 points and 10 rebounds.  Graduate guard Hetta Saatman contributed 14 points.

More recently, the Dragons return home after falling 61-55 at reigning CAA champion Monmouth on Friday night.

LOOKING AHEAD
UNCW returns home for its final homestand of the season, a three-game slate, that begins next Friday vs. William & Mary at 7 p.m.
