Women's Soccer 2025 Roster Continues to Take Shape

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW Head Women's Soccer Coach Chris Neal has added a trio of transfers in forward Kayla Adams, midfielder Jada Tuffin and forward/midfielder Hailey Longwell for the 2025 season as announced on Wednesday.

Adams spent the previous three seasons at Portland where she helped the Pirates to the second round of the NCAA Tournament in 2022. Adams scored 10 goals and contributed three assists across three years at Portland and was second on the team in goals, assists and points in 2022. The Bellevue, Wash., native was also a 2024 CSC Academic All-District Honoree.

Longwell scored six goals in 17 games, including nine starts, in her first season at Duquesne. The redshirt sophomore was named to the Atlantic 10 All-Rookie Team as well as the Commissioner's Honor Roll.

A prep standout for Coach Bill Pfeifer at Moon Area, where she totaled 72 goals and 33 assists in her career. Longwell was part of the 2022 squad that claimed the 3A Pennsylvania Interscholastic Athletic Association (PIAA) state championship. The Tigers were nationally ranked in both her junior and senior seasons.

Tuffin, who was a 2023 All-ACC Academic Athlete, is 5-11 midfielder from Fort Lauderdale, Fla. Tuffin played in 10 contests at Boston College as a freshman in 2023. She spent her club career with Florida United under Coach Jerome Samuels with whom she helped finished third at the 2021 GA National Championship, second at the 2022 GA National Championship and won a GA Champions Cup at IMG.

Tuffin also participated in Equestrian from 2019-23 at the American Heritage Schools. Her father, Brian, played football and hockey at Ohio State.

"We are excited to add these transfers for January. All three have played at high levels in great conferences," said Neal. "Jada played against the top teams in the nation while in the ACC. Hailey and Kayla are proven goal-scorers in top conferences. We can't wait to welcome them to Wilmington in January."
