Defending CAA Champs Unveil 2025 Slate

WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW Softball Head Coach Ashley Wade has unveiled a 51-game schedule for the defending Coastal Athletic Association Champions that include 24 games at Boseman Field in 2025.

The Seahawks, who won their second league title in three years last spring, will also play 21 away games and six neutral site contests. UNCW will play 27 CAA games and 24 non-conference contests, highlighted by home games vs. 2024 Women's College World Series participant Duke and North Carolina in April.

The 2025 season opens with the first of two home tournaments, including Syracuse, Le Moyne and Queens (N.C.), from Feb. 7-9. A second Seahawk-hosted tournament featuring UMass, DePaul and Rider occurs from Feb. 21-23.

The Seahawks will also play in a pair of early-season away tournaments at Charleston Southern from Feb. 14-16 and NC State from Feb. 28 – Mar. 2 that will include two neutral site contests against Big Ten Champion and 2024 NCAA Tournament participant Michigan.

Regional rivalries will continue at East Carolina on Feb. 26 and Coastal Carolina on Mar. 18.

Coastal Athletic Association play opens in a rematch of last year's championship game at Campbell from Mar. 7-9 at Amanda Littlejohn Stadium, the 2025 CAA Softball Championships site. The Seahawks are also slated to visit Charleston, Monmouth, Hofstra and Elon during their CAA calendar.

UNCW's CAA home opener occurs on Mar. 21 vs. North Carolina A&T. The Seahawks will also welcome Delaware, Stony Brook and Hampton to Boseman Field during CAA play.
