WILMINGTON, North Carolina – UNCW women's soccer Head Coach Chris Neal has expanded his incoming freshman class with the addition of midfielder Lindsay Lenhard as announced on Tuesday.
Lenhard is a 5-4 midfielder from Spencerport, N.Y., who was the 2023 New York State Class AA Player of the Year and a regional All-American.
She has scored 29 goals along with 28 assists throughout her prep career at Spencerport, where she was a five-time sectional champion from 2020-24.
Lenhard has played for the WNY Flash during her club career and has 10 goals with 16 helpers during the most recent ECNL regular season. Her efforts were honored as a 2023 First-Team Ohio Valley ECNL and a Second-Team discitinion during the 2021-22 campaign.
"We are excited to add Lindsay to the squad. Even more exciting is that she will be graduating early to join us in the spring 2025 semester," said Neal. She's a tenacious and skilled player, that can play a variety of different positions, and I am excited to work with her."
Lenhard, who will join the UNCW program next spring, hails from an athletic family. Her father, Jake, played basketball at Nazareth College while her mother, Julie, was a women's soccer player at the University of Buffalo. Lenhard's brother, Jacob, plays men's soccer at Stetson University.
She is the fifth 2025 recruit to join the Seahawks, who announced four incoming freshmen last week.
