Cross Country Continues Season at Pirate Invitational

GREENVILLE, North Carolina – The UNCW men's and women's cross country teams continued their fall season at the 2024 Pirate Invitational hosted by East Carolina on Friday at the Overton's at Lake Kristi course.

UNCW WOMEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
The Seahawk women finished 20th in the 6K race with 603 team points while Coastal Athletic Association opponent William & Mary captured five top-10 finishes to win the team title with 19 points.

UNCW's Carly McCusker (101st) paced UNCW for the third straight race with a 23:44.3 time. Fellow Seahawk Chandler Coughlin (153rd) clocked a 24:43.6 time as UNCW's second-highest finisher among the 209 listed names.

UNCW MEN'S CROSS COUNTRY
UNCW's Nicholas Potter (174th) led the Seahawk men's squad in the 8K race with a 27:05.2 time.

William & Mary (82 points) made a clean sweep of the Pirate Invitational, edging out George Mason by two points. UNCW finished 21st in the men's 8K race.
