CHAPEL HILL, North Carolina – UNCW's Hannah Altman and Victoria Levy authored top 10 finishes in the Seahawks' penultimate fall tournament on Sunday at the Ruth's Chris Tar Heel Invitational hosted by North Carolina at the Finley Golf Course.
Duke claimed the tournament team title by three strokes ahead of Michigan State while the Blue Devils' Andie Smith posted a seven-under tournament score to be the individual medalist.
Altman (70-69-72=211) finished in a three-way tie for fifth place with Tennessee's Bailey Davis and Vanderbilt's Ava Merrill.
Levy, who finished with a share of eighth along with Virginia Tech's Emily Mathews, followed one shot behind Altman with a 212 tournament score that featured a three-under 67 in Sunday's third round.
Levy was one of 11 golfers in the 90-player field to record double-digit birdies with 11.
UNCW (294-299-294=887) finished 12th in the 17-team field.
The Seahawks will next conclude the fall portion of their 2024-25 schedule with the Landfall Tradition, held at the Country Club of Landfall from Oct. 25 to 27.
